- Before a workflow runs, its estimated maximum cost is reserved from your balance.
- Only the steps that actually execute are charged — unused reserved compute points are released when the run finishes.
- With branching, the final cost depends on the path each submission actually takes.
- Storing submissions in your dashboard is always free.
Frequently asked questions
What is a compute point (CP)?
A compute point represents the work Submeto does to deliver a submission through one of your configured channels. Email consumes 2 CP per successful dispatch. Webhook, Google Sheets, Pushover, Discord, and Slack consume 1 CP per successful dispatch. Telegram consumes 1 CP per recipient. Storing a submission in your dashboard is always free, and channel costs are shown clearly in the dashboard.
How do compute points translate into submissions?
It depends on how many channels you've configured per form. A form that only stores submissions costs 0 CP. Email costs 2 CP per successful dispatch; Webhook, Google Sheets, Pushover, Discord, and Slack cost 1 CP each; Telegram costs 1 CP per recipient. A form that forwards to both email and a webhook costs 2 + 1 = 3 CP per submission. The 5,000 CP Starter plan covers about 2,500 email-only dispatches, or about 1,666 submissions when each goes to email and a webhook. You always pay for what you actually use.
Is it really a one-time payment?
Yes. Starter and Pro are one-time compute point packages with no recurring charge. Each purchase grants its own 365-day Paid access period, and its CP does not expire.
What happens when I use all my compute points?
Paid access continues until its own expiry even if the package CP is used up. You can buy another package at any time; when no Paid entitlement remains, Free account limits apply.
What happens after one year?
That purchase’s Paid access ends after 365 days. Its unused purchased CP remains available, while Free account limits apply unless another Paid entitlement is active.
Can I buy more compute points if I already have an active package?
Yes. Every purchase adds CP and grants a separate 365-day Paid entitlement. Purchasing again does not extend or replace the dates of earlier purchases.
Can I get a refund?
Open Billing in the Dashboard to request a refund. If fewer than 7 days have elapsed and that purchase has never used CP, you can confirm a full refund with no processing fee. Otherwise, while fewer than 30 days have elapsed, staff can quote a refund based on remaining CP minus verified, non-refundable payment costs; you confirm the exact amount before approval. Fraud, duplicate charges, Submeto errors, undelivered service, and legally required refunds are reviewed separately without this deduction. Coupon packages have no cash value.
What is the difference between Submeto App Push and Pushover?
Submeto App Push is a best-effort owner reminder sent to active mobile devices signed in to your Submeto account. It includes the Form name but never submission field values, and is currently 0 CP as a limited-time free feature. Pushover is a separate 1 CP delivery channel that uses your own Pushover credential and destination settings. You can enable App Push per Form under Delivery & Notifications; the mobile account setting remains the master switch.
How long is submission data kept?
Each Form has a fixed retention setting: 7, 30, 90, 365, or 730 days, with 1,095 and 1,825 days available while Paid access is active. New Forms default to 730 days. Automatic expiry cleanup is not active yet; we will announce it before it begins.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Dashboard Settings can create a private account-level export of currently available submissions, attachments, and AI results. It is asynchronous, rate limited, and available to download for 24 hours after completion.
What happens when I delete my account?
Email verification is required. Access, Forms, API Keys, Paid access, and remaining CP are disabled immediately. We target removal of online product data within 30 days; required pseudonymized financial records and encrypted backup generations are exceptions.
